Welcome to the Cultural Science Chair!

The chair was created quite recently, in June 1995. Nevertheless, it's dynamically developing. In the short period since the chair's foundation, the teaching team have elaborated an independent approach to the teaching process and found a suitable position in the structure of the university.

The basic discipline delivered by the chair is Cultural Science. This discipline is included as part of the academic cycle of the mandatory humanitarian and social-economic disciplines. The teachers of the chair make the most of the course capabilities. In reading the cultural science course original technologies for education are applied; the lectures and seminar studies are supported by materials on the history of culture and art, electronic aids and supervision of training are created. The teaching is grounded on the unity of three components: a lecture course, different writing based educational courses, and computer testing for checking of a level of students' knowledge.

The second direction of educational activity is teaching fundamentals of modern society and business etiquette, which are relevant to the professional work of the specialist.

Educational, scientific, elucidative and formative activity of the department is aimed at developing in the students a steady interest in the values of global, domestic and local culture, focusing their attention on problems of behavioral culture, creation of positive images, acquisition of skills of service and business communication.
